Overview

RandolphWiki.net is a site containing a collection of pages about Randolph College that are created, edited and maintained by members of the Randolph community. The project seeks to harness the collective knowledge of the community to best reflect information about various aspects of the College including programs, clubs, projects, research and more.

Who Can Participate?

All Randolph College students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the project. You must have a "randolphcollege.edu" e-mail address in order to create an account. All users are indentified and no anonymous posting is allowed.

Ground Rules

As with any wiki, any page can be edited and updated by any other user. The presentation of information is a collaborative process and users are expected to work with that spirit of collaboration and civility.

Stick to verifiable facts. Any subjective information should be cited and linked to the source.

All wiki pages should be directly related to some aspect of Randolph College. Irrelevant pages will be removed and locked down.

RandolphWiki is not a soapbox nor is it a forum for debate and critique. The following are not permitted...

  • Personal attacks or any criticism of individual people, programs, groups or departments
  • Professor ratings
  • Trolling
  • Vandalism
  • Profanity and hate speech
  • Politics - local, national, internal or otherwise
  • Discussion/debate of controversial issues (including but not limited to coeducation/name change, legal proceedings, tenure, student disciplinary actions, classroom evaluations, personnel issues, etc.) Don't go there. This is not the place for it.

The Admin reserves the right to remove pages which violate these Ground Rules and block the account of the offending user.

Software

Randolph Wiki uses MediaWiki software (Version), the same wiki engine which runs the popular site Wikipedia.
